We went to Hendel’a on a Saturday night. Pro tip: join the waitlist online. We were told that we would be 30 to 40 minutes, which we were fine with. The patio was packed, the inside was also busy. We were seated about 10 minutes after arriving in the bar area. The bar is super charming and reminds me of a coastal vibe. Our server, Ella, was awesome all night. Bartender Mike was great too. We started with spinach artichoke dip, and some custom cocktails. The chips are homemade for the dip, and the dip is amazing. Perfect amount of ingredients, not too much cheese, perfect for dipping. The menu is plentiful, with lots of different options. We had a hard time deciding, but we settled on the Parmesan encrusted chicken caesar salad and the chicken philly. Both were awesome. The chicken fillet was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a very long time. Everything was fresh, the fries were great, crispy on the outside, but chewy on the inside. My recommendation is to get the chipotle aioli on the side to dip your fries in. Can’t wait to come back to this awesome gem in old Florissant.

First time eating here the other night and it did not disappoint. Everything was on point from the food to the service and the atmosphere. Strip steak was cooked to my liking and very good. Fries are more like giant potato spears but had and amazing crunch to them. Also the salad was delicious

This a gem right in the middle of Old Florrisant. There's a lot of history in the building and the location. I've been to the bar several times however only got to eat at the restaurant tonight. It was well worth the wait. We started with the Duck Wontons because I love duck so much. They were crispy on the outside with warm cheese filling on the inside. The salmon was amazing. The taste of the salmon didn't get lost in the marinade. We also ordered the filet and gyro, all which was really good. The salmon was by far the show stopper.

We had the best experience at lunch today with Jessica on the patio. Although we were traveling and I’m not sure I’ll ever make it back, I would if I could! The steak salad was and I ate every single bite!! Everyone at our table had a tasty experience!!

Excellent cuisine and service. Enjoyed a wonderful Greek Salad. Garden Fresh Greens! Will definitely come back on my next St. Louis visit. Price for an awesome, filling meal was about 30.

Wow what a great gem. Everything on the menu is well made and tasty. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is great (an old general store building). Great price-to-value ratio for such well-crafted food. Wow. Gotta come down!

Nestled in the heart of Florissant, Hendel’s is a true gem that combines charm, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. While the parking lot is limited, there’s street parking available, so don’t let that deter you! The cozy interior has a calming, family-friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home the moment you step in. The food and service? Absolutely phenomenal. I’ve visited four times now, and Hendel’s has never let me down. From their perfectly crafted dishes to their attentive staff, every visit is an experience worth savoring. A little tip: Check their hours before you go. Trust me, it’s worth planning ahead to enjoy a meal here. If you haven’t tried Hendel’s yet, don’t wait any longer—you won’t regret it!

I've got nothing but GOOD things to say about Hendels. I've eaten here several times, and EVERYTIME the food has been delicious. Nice, laid-back setting. Good for date night or just hanging out with family and friends. Always flavorful and fresh. I also really like the good customer service I always receive. This place will ALWAYS be a go-to for me.
